In a bout of nostalgia, I decided to do patches for Virtual Villagers: A New Home and Virtual Villagers: The Lost Children as well. These do exactly the same thing as my VV3 patches - 30K food and 1 million tech points.

Get 30 K units of food (VV1)

Get 1 million tech points (VV1)

In VV1 you have to patch the file "Isola1.ldw" in your program directory for Virtual Villagers. That depends on where you installed the game, but by default it's at "c:\program files\Virtual Villagers"

I'm not sure if this game has been updated to Vista or where saved game would go if you're on Vista. Vista wouldn't let a game write to its own program directory, so it's probably elsewhere, and I'm not even sure if it would work on Vista.

Get 30 K units of food (VV2)

Get 1 million tech points (VV2)

For the VV2 Patches, you need to apply them to Isola21.ldw in your "My Documents > Virtual Villagers - The Lost Children" directory.
