I used to be a hardcore gamer. I played games on the PC. I own a PS2 and an XBOX. I love adventure games, and when I had the time (oh, the time) I loved to play RPG games. From Final Fantasy (ALL OF THEM - I even played X-2!) to Baldursgate, Sam and Max to Nancy Drew, I played them all. But alas, life caught up to me.
Now a mother of a beautiful baby (who, thankfully, allows his mother her allowances of game time and even be entertained by them at times) with a part time job, time is limited. So I started playing casual games. Then I started playing some more. Having been the owner of a Palm Pilot since 1998, I’ve been playing them since the very beginning - Bejewelled was the first match-3 I played. So when the myriad of match-3s (There’s a whole genre full of this stuff now. Unbelievable.) I tried out invariably feels like bejewelled, I learned how to pick the gems from the chaff. So I thought I might as well share my experiences - what I like, what I hated, what my baby loved to watch and what he can’t stand. So far, he loves simulation games, and absolutely detest match-3’s.
During the week I collect links from various sites that offer free games, and pick out the good ones. Then I pick the one with the least ads (most of the time, no ads) and post them on Fridays. To see them all, just go ahead and click on “free game friday” off the categories.
